INDICATIONS: Masood's BioGen-15 Femilan is indicated for the supportive treatment in menstruation troubles, irregular menses, scanty or profuse, late or early etc. MENSTRUATION TROUBLES: Menstruation is bleeding from the vagina that happens about once a month, as a normal part of the menstrual cycle. It is also known as having a period. Medically, menstruation (also termed period or bleeding) is the process in a woman of discharging (through the vagina) blood and other materials from the lining of the uterus at about one monthly interval from puberty until menopause (ceasing of regular menstrual cycles), except during pregnancy. This discharging process lasts about 3-5 days. Beside the bleeding, other signs and symptoms of menstruation may include headache, acne, bloating, pains in the low abdomen, tiredness, mood changes, food cravings, breast soreness, and diarrhea. Causes of irregular periods include: Eating disorders Thyroid problems, such as hyperthyroidism. High amounts of prolactin in the blood. Certain medicines, such as those for epilepsy or anxiety. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) Primary ovarian insufficiency (POI) Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) Stress. Uncontrolled diabetes. Obesity. CONTRAINDICATIONS: No evidence exists for any established interactions with food or other substances/conventional medicines. Data derived from laboratory studies and healthy volunteers does not shows any of the serious effects of illness. ADVERSE EFFECTS: No adverse effects have been reported or observed till date. However existing symptoms may get worse temporarily when homoeopathic medicines are taken. Some individuals may experience sensitivity to the lactose in the tablet base of the remedy. Although the overall risk of homoeopathic remedies causing an adverse effect appears to be low.
