INDICATIONS: Masood's Biogen 22 Pusonex is indicated for the supportive treatment in scrofula, glandular swelling and abscesses in scrofulous and tubercular patients. SCROFULA Scrofula is a disease with glandular swellings, probably a form of tuberculosis. Mycobacterium tuberculosis , a bacterium, is the most common cause of scrofula in adults. However, Mycobacterium avium intracellulare can also cause scrofula in a minority of cases. In children, nontuberculosis bacteria causes are more common. Children can contract the condition from putting contaminated items in their mouths. Scrofula most commonly causes swelling and lesions on the side of the neck. This is usually a swollen lymph node or nodes that may feel like a small, round nodule. The nodule usually isn’t tender or warm to the touch. The lesion may start to get bigger and may even drain pus or other fluid after several weeks. In addition to these symptoms, a person with scrofula may experience: fever malaise or a general feeling of being unwell night sweats unexplained weight loss COMPOSITION: Each tablet contains: Calcium Phosphoricum 3x, Ferrum Phosphoricum 3x, Kalium Muriaticum 3x, Silicea 6x each 25mg w/w and excipients Q.S to tablet weight. CONTRAINDICATIONS: No evidence exists for any established interactions with food or other substances/conventional medicines. Data derived from laboratory studies and healthy volunteers does not shows any of the serious effects of illness. ADVERSE EFFECTS: No adverse effects have been reported or observed till date. However existing symptoms may get worse temporarily when homoeopathic medicines are taken. Some individuals may experience sensitivity to the lactose in the tablet base of the remedy.
