The common name of the Rhamnus Californica is California Coffee-Tree. It is an evergreen shrub found in California and Mexico. The mother tincture is prepared from the bark. This bark must be gathered in spring or early summer and kept shelved for at least one year before use. The dilution of this medicine are prepared from the mother tincture. Rhamnus Californica is one of the most positive medicines for rheumatism and muscular pains. It is also of service in inflammatory rheumatism, swollen joints, gastralgia, dysmenorrhoea, rheumatic heart and pains in head, neck, and the face.
