Homeopathic

In its provings, the most notable effects were produced in the eye and chest. As with the other Antimonies, there is disordered digestion, pasty mouth and taste in the morning.

Chronic nasal and bronchial catarrh. Increase of tough mucus in larynx and bronchi, respiration difficult. Dry, hard cough with passive congestion of upper lobe of left lung. Nosebleed on washing. Itching on hands and feet.

Burning in head with eye complaints. Amaurosis (commencing). Spots on cornea and hypopion. Acne.

Abdomen

Pressure, tension and fullness in abdomen. Umbilical region sensitive. Violent colic and rumbling around navel.

Eyes

Amaurosis, commencing. Spots on cornea. Iris protruding through cornea.

Face

Pustular acne.

Food

Loss of appetite, almost a loathing of food.

Head

Pressive pains. Burning pain in head, with eye complaints. Reddish swelling behind right ear, leaving a redness and scurfiness.

Kidneys

Urine increased, dark red.

Limbs

Itching on hands and feet. Arms heavy in the morning. Boring and tearing pain in arms and hand joints. Swelling of fingers.

Lungs

Accumulation of tough mucus in bronchi and larynx. Tickling in larynx. Increased mucus with fullness in bronchi. Respiration difficult, pressure in bronchi with constriction. Dry, hard cough, no expectoration. Congestion of upper lobe of left lung. Winter coughs, patient is sore all over. Pneumonia, when hepatization occurred and resolution failed to take place. Increased mucus sputum, mixed with blood of a sweetish taste. Passive congestion of upper lobe left lung with hard, dry cough.

Male

Pustular eruption on scrotum with much itching.

Mouth

Metallic taste. Pasty mouth and taste in the morning.

Nose

Nosebleed on washing the face. Increased secretion in nose and throat. Loss of smell.

Rectum

Passage of much flatus with sudden urging, followed by a solid stool at first, then bright yellow and pasty stool. Constipation. Feces hard and passed with difficulty.

Skin

Acne, pustular variety. Itching on hands and feet.

Sleep

Deep sleep. Wakes after midnight with dull headache. Wakes with restlessness and sexual desire. Awoke suddenly with heavy, confused head, pressure in stomach, difficult breathing. Sleep dreamy.

Stomach

Pressure and fullness in stomach and abdomen, umbilical region sensitive.

Stool

Passage of much flatus with sudden urging, followed by a stool, solid at first then bright yellow and pasty, afterwards violent colic and rumbling around navel. Constipation, feces hard and passed with difficulty.

Throat

Increased secretion in nose and throat. Rough and scrappy feeling. Metallic styptic taste. Burning or heat in fauces. Mucus from throat becomes offensive to smell. Pressure in throat as if a plug stuck in it. Scratching, rough feeling in throat incoming. Tickling in larynx. Accumulation of tough mucus in larynx and bronchi.
