Injury of the Neck and Waist

Introduction

Any person can get hurt in the neck or waist while playing, jumping, and walking on the road, fighting, etc.

Precautions:-

If a person got hurt in his waist or neck, first of all, make the patient as lying position and cover them with any blanket and should not allow to move.
After that, patient should sit on the safe place after bandage.
If a person gets hurt on his neck or back, do not allow him to lie down with pillow under the head, because it can be the cause of suffocation.
Anything should not be given to the patient before the treatment.
If the patient feels as if his breath is stopping or vomiting, help him to change his side by giving support to his head, neck and back, etc.
We (the patient) should make arrangement the way to stop bleeding from injured part.
The patient should press wounds with his hands or a piece of clean clothes. If this type of activity fails then do not remove that clothes but put another pieces of clothes.
If the patient feels difficulty in breathing due to hurt, oxygen can be given to him by the following ways-
First of all, close his nose then take a deep breath (oxygen) and now give this oxygen to the patient through mouth to mouth.
Check the heart beat of the patient while giving oxygen to him.
If his heart beat does not start (felt), try to give oxygen again.
After that, check pulse rate of the patient.
If heart beat and pulse rate of the patient are stopped, hit the chest with a heavy punch.
Start massaging the heart.
Arrange the middle bone of the chest properly.
Make such posture in which shoulder comes above the hands, arms become straight and elbow is bended.
In the condition of injury, oxygen should be given continuously until doctor came.
Oxygen should be given to the child above 7 years old after every 5 seconds and check his pulse rate at an interval of every 12 times.
