Peritonitis

Introduction

The membrane which covers the lower portion of the stomach and internal portion of the intestines is known by the name of peritoneum. When inflammation occurs in this membrane, it is called peritonitis. When inflammation occurs in the naval of children, it is also called peritonitis.

Causes

The causes of peritonitis are excessive cold, surgical operation, injury, origin of poisonous blood in the body and perforation in the intestines. Peritonitis occurs due to fever, flatulence, stomachache, convulsion in the stomach and hiccups. Other causes of this disease are belching due to gastric problem in the stomach, constipation, retention of loose motion and urine, by sleeping on stomach side, weak nerve and fast pulsation of nerve.

Use of different medicines for the treatment of peritonitis:

Aconite: The use of 3x of the medicine aconite provides a lot of relief if it is taken in the early stage of peritonitis.
Belladonna: If the patient of peritonitis suffers from these symptoms as violent fever, heaviness in the pulsation of nerve, congestion in the head and chest, flatulence, retention of urine and vomiting of bile, he should take 3x potencies of the medicine Belladonna. Its use ends the disease peritonitis.
Cqarbo veg: When the patient suffers from coldness along with peritonitis, the use of 30 potencies of the medicine Carbo Veg provides relief soon.
Cantharis: If the patient suffers from stomach disorders and contortion in the urinary bladder along with peritonitis, the use of 3x potencies of the medicine provides a lot of relief.
Arsenic: If the patient suffers from these symptoms as excessive laziness, vomiting again and again, inflammation in the stomach, severe ache in the stomach and excessive cold sweat from the body along with peritonitis, he should take 3 x potencies of the medicine Arsenic. Its use provides a lot of relief.
Merc-dulsis or lyco: If the disease peritonitis is chronic, the use of 3x potencies powder of the medicine Merc-Dulsis or 6 x potencies of the medicine should be used to get relief.
Ars or sulphor, calc-carb: If the patient suffers from disorder in loose motions and gutika doshas along with the disease of peritonitis, he should take 6 or 3x potencies of the medicine Ars, 30 potencies of Sulphor and 30 or 6 potencies of Calce-Carb to get relief.

The medicines which can be used while taking above medicines:

The medicine as 6x potencies of Merc-Va, Merc-6, Opium-6, Nux-Vomika-3, Colocynthis-6, Sulphor-30 and powder of the medicine Lyco 3x can be given when the patient of peritonitis suffers from gastric problem in the stomach. Besides these medicines, Bryonia-3, Thiretrum-Alb-6 or Teribinthina can be used in this disease. All the medicines should be given while taking above medicines.

Treatment by normal experiment:

If the patient of peritonitis suffers from these symptoms as flatulence, he should foment his stomach with hot water or applying the poultice of linseed mixing with 4-5 drops of terpentine oil on the stomach. Its use provides a lot of relief. In the early stage of this disease, the patient should not take such foodstuffs which are harmful for intestines.
