Otitis

Introduction

Sometimes, burning sensation starts to occur in the ear (otitis) due to exposure to cold and disease is caused inside the throat. Otitis can also occur due to any type of skin disease. In the case of this disease, swelling occurs on the ear with fever; sometimes hearing power is decreased and increased. Sometimes, pain starts suddenly in the ear resulting the internal part of it becomes obsessed and sometimes offensive pus also starts to flow.

Treatment with different drugs:-

1. Bell

If blood has been accumulated in the head with disease related to hear and burning sensation is occurring in the ear, etc., disease can be cured by the use of Bell 2x.

2. Aconite

In the initial stage of otitis, using Aconite 1x is beneficial.

3. Puls

If burning sensation occurs in the ear due to measles and patient feels pain as if anyone is scratching his ear or pain like hurting with arrow, etc., this drug should be used to cure it.

4. Chamomilla

If pain becomes unbearable with burning sensation of the ear, 30 potency of this drug is used.

5. Merc-bi

If burning sensation occurs in the ear after small pox and the affect of pain is moved to the teeth or the symptoms of disease is aggravating by lying down on the hot bed, taking this drug is very useful for the treatment of this disease.

6. Sulphur

If burning sensation occurs in the ear and the symptoms of disease are aggravating by taking rest, using this drug is beneficial for the treatment of it.

7. Pulsatilla

If burning sensation is occurring in the ear due to cold, 3 potency of this drug should be used to cure this disease, but if pain occurs in the ear with fever, Aconite 3x should be used.

8. Belladonna and Aconite

If pain occurs in the head and the throat with otitis, Belladonna and Aconite 3x should be taken and the ear should be fomented with hot Flanel.

9. Chamomilla

If pain occurs like pricking needle and patient feels unbearable pain in the glands of the ear.

10. Plantago

If Merc-sol, Chamomilla, Pulsatilla, etc drugs make no impression, Platango should be used to cure this disease.

11. Calcarea-picric

If burning sensation occurs in the external orifice of the ear and small pimples appear with pus on that place, taking Calcarea-picric 3 is beneficial.

12. Merc-sol

If slanting pain occurs in the ear and the gland below the ear has swollen, using Merc-sol 6 is beneficial.

13. Nitric-acid

If otitis has become chronic, Nitric-acid 6 or Sulphur 30 is beneficial to cure it.

Other treatment:-

In the case of otitis and appearing boils and pimples, the ear should be covered with cotton or flanel, because the symptoms of disease can be aggravated due to getting cold in the hole of the ear. The affected part should be fomented with hot flannel or salty bag, hot or dry sponge or dripping 1-2 drops of mullen oil or hot mustard oil in the ear provides relief from pain.
